Mystery Location Calls

Session Title: Mystery Location Calls via Skype or Google Hangout

Your Name: Paula Naugle

Work Title: Teacher - 4th Grade

School or Organization Name: Bissonet Plaza/Jefferson Parish Public Schools

Area of the World from Which You Will Present: New Orleans, Louisiana

Language in Which You Will Present: English

Target Audience(s): all classroom teachers

Short Session Description (one line): Would you like to know how to do a Mystery Location call? Some refer to them as Mystery Skype calls, but since I now use both Skype and Google Hangouts for video conferencing from my classroom, I refer to them as Mystery Location calls.

Full Session Description (as long as you would like): Many classrooms around the globe have participated in Mystery Skype calls. Today with the option of using other video conferencing tools like Google Hangout, many teachers now call them Mystery Location calls. Come learn how to do one in your classroom. I will help you find another class to connect with, explain how to "play" the game, and walk you through the classroom jobs you could assign to your students so that your Mystery call turns into a true "learning call" as Silva Tolisano likes to call them.
