About Me
Dr. Arup Barman is a management educationist. He is teaching business management and economics as Associate Professor at Jawaharlal Nehru School of Management, Assam University, Silchar. He holds M.Com, Ph.D. in Management. He is recipient of post doctoral research award from UGC (India). He is an Accredited Management Teacher (AMT) of AIMA, New Delhi. He received scholarship from Global Development Network (GDN) and Centro de plementación de Políticas Públicas para la Equidad yel Crecimienton (CIPPEC), Argentina. He is a Fellow Chartered Educator - a honoris causa fellowship issued under the academic treaty signed with Consortium Euro-American. He received the Best Reviewer Award, 2011, conferred by the Journal Management Science – An International Journal (ISSN-2250-1819/ISSN 2249-1260) managed by Non Olympic Times (NOT) under International Nobel Peace Prize Recommendation Forum (INPPRF). He is a recipient of MTC-Global Award 2011, as a best Management Teacher from Rural Areas (conferred at FAPCII House at Hyderabad, Sankalp-2011 on 27th August 2011). He is actively engaged in the editorial activities for 23 no’s of International Journals in the area of management economy, educations, and social sciences. He is a Member of Advisory Board of World Center for Academic Excellence and Research (WCAER), India; Full Member of International Research Association for Talent Development and Excellence (IRATDE), Germany; Secretary of National Chapter- India of CCLP-Worldwide –A Global Civil Society; a Member of Researcher Alliance for Development (RAD), World Bank; a Fellow of Indian Society of Business Management (FISBM, 2010), Chennai; a Fellow of Agri-Horticultural Society (FHAS), India. He is leading the research wing as the Director (Hony) International Research and Development Council, of CCLP-Worldwide (A global Civil Society, with Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC, UN). Dr. Barman’s main areas of teaching and researches are- contemporary economics, business management, cross national HRD, corporate social responsibilities, higher education, professionalism and competencies, and educational innovations for sustainable development, intellectual responsibilities. In the same line, he has been associated with various social organization and networks.
