About Me
Graduated in Language and literature teaching Portuguese-English at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in 2006 and postgraduated in Language Studies/ Applied Linguistics also at UFRGS in 2009. She is also specialist on Computing in Education at UFRGS (2011). Currently, she is doing a doctorate course in Applied Linguistics at Sinos Valley University - UNISINOS, and a doctorate course in Computing in Education at UFRGS. She began her academic career, participating as a PIBIC / CNPq / UFRGS scholarship student for three years in the project ALESA (Foreign Language Acquisition in the Classroom), program sponsored by the Graduate Institute of Liberal Arts - UFRGS under the guidance of professor Dr. Marília dos Santos Lima. Moreover, she has acquired experience in Language Studies and Applied Linguistics research with an emphasis on Foreign Language Acquisition. At the Master’s, she was granted the CAPES scholarship for two years in the area of Language Studies and Applied Linguistics. And at the doctorate she is a scholarship student sponsored by CAPES/Demanda Social at UFRGS. With experience of many years as an English teacher, she has worked as an English language teacher in the private school network, as well as in Teaching of Foreign Languages Extension Program – NELE at UFRGS. She is a visiting professor of the specialization course in Teaching and Learning of English Language at Ritter dos Reis University. Also, she has experience as a distant tutor in continuing education courses sponsored by the Interdisciplinary Center for New Technologies in Education - CINTED / Open University of Brazil - UAB, and in the disciplines of English Language of the distance graduation course in Liberal Arts: Teaching English of the government Pro Teaching Program, MEC/ REGESD. Moreover, she was part of the Journals Review Program of UNISINOS, reviewing journals articles and papers, and doing workshops to promote the scientific writing skills. Also, she was part of the Journals Revision Center at UNISINOS, which review academic articles of the university journals and post-graduation courses, as well as promotes workshops for the qualification of scientific writing. Her studies cover the following themes: Vygotsky's sociocultural theory, Foreign Language teaching and learning, distance education, computer-based education, pedagogical agent.
