About Me
Jim Stauffer is a community adult educator with Aurora College. Opinions expressed on his blog are his own, and not moderated or even necessarily endorsed by Aurora College. He lives and teaches in an isolated, fly-in community in Canada’s Northwest Territories. He is getting to know his way around education having made a mid-life career switch 5 years ago, and has earned a certificate in adult education mainly through distance education. I am totally sold on on-line learning of almost every flavour, MOOC, self-learning, credit courses. It’s the near-perfect answer to our geographical isolation. Connecting with others who have similar interests is a very rewarding educational experience.
