About Me

Lisa Kleeven (1981) has worked for Foam (photography museum Amsterdam) since 2007 and is currently the Head of the education department. Lisa developed several innovative educational project such as the dynamic neighbourhood project West Side Stories, and peer education project Proud to be... With a background in Art History (BA, 2005) and Gender studies (MA, 2007), she finds it important that museums are accessible and inspiring for everyone. Kleeven approaches education from a perspective of social inclusion, diversity and participation. She loves getting people engaged and exchange personal experiences through photography. Her strength lies in her personal approach, enthusiasm and her ability to innovatively break down barriers.
