About Me
I'm originally from San Jose/Santa Cruz area in California, moved to Texas in 1984 to attend Abilene Christian University. Got both my Bachelors and Masters in Education with a minor in Reading. I really wanted my degree in Library Science but there were no classes online at the time. I moved to the Lake Dallas/Denton area of Texas where I attended Texas Woman's University and worked on my Librarian Certification and degree while working as an elementary librarian. Moved to San Antonio and became a middle school librarian.
Research/information skills and reading--a pretty important part of the education of a child that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. Helping children find their own niche in society is also a huge part of being a successful human being that is fulfilled. Being a unique person with the ability to make society better as well as yourself.
I love teaching in and out of the school setting.
Which is a big help since public schools may be a thing of the past sooner than we anticipated.
What will be next? What will your vision of education look like if public school dissolve.
I'm also very active in ATPE (Association of Texas Professional Educators) for 15 years.
A big believer in not only professional development but personal development throughout life.
