About Me

I was born in a small village of Sambalpur District. I studied in Gangadhar Meher College, Sambalpur and obtained a First Class Degree of Master of Arts in Sanskrit. I also studied in Dr Parsuram Mishra Institute of Advanced Study in Education and obtained a First Class Degree of Master in Education. I worked as a teacher for a few years, but soon discovered that thousands of people outside the school are in need of education. I preferred to be community teacher, founded Manav Kalyan Pratisthan, a voluntary development organisation, and worked for education of the masses, especially for the socially marginalised, since 1986. I expertise in community mobilisation and innovative approaches to literacy and education, of children and adults as well. I also expertise in human resource development, human rights and gender justice.
