About Me

My area of interest and expertise is reading/ literacy. After 20 years of teaching K12 students of art, reading, and special education, administration, I have spent the last 20 years in higher education preparing teachers of reading and reading specialists and literacy coaches. Since the early 1990s, I have integrated technologies of the Internet into the preparation of teachers. Since 2008, as a participant and observer in a dynamic international network coordinated by George Siemens and Stephen Downes, I have been investigating the manner in which new technologies and new literacies expand learning capabilities.
