About Me

I am the Senior Director for Professional Development and STEM Education at NC New Schools. In that role, I lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the NC New Schools strategic plan for advancing STEM education across our network and for developing a leading cadre of STEM schools within the NC STEM Learning Network. In addition, I oversee the design, implementation and evaluation of all of our professional development. Prior to joining NC New Schools, I served as a mathematics instructional coach and teacher in an innovation high school in Baltimore, MD where I collaborated on a proposal for a new STEM school for girls, which opened in the fall of 2009. I also served on the development team for Core-Plus Mathematics, an innovative high school mathematics curriculum.
