About Me
I love communication. In business, I have worked as a senior executive in media locally, nationally, and internationally for years, including radio, cable television, publishing, and internet companies. I love education. I help people learn and practice ways to be more effective communicators at school, at home, and with friends, and to be ready for college, careers, and independent life. As a speech and debate coach I help students develop and use critical thinking, collaboration, research, and analytical skills. I earned my degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Texas, and hold current certifications in Speech 8-12, Journalism 8-12, Business Education 6-12, Special Education EC-12, Gifted and Talented 6-12 Supplemental, English as a Second Language 6-12 Supplemental, and Generalist 4-8. My wife is a professional photographer (mostly kids, families and pets), and we have three grown sons, two little dogs, one big parrot, a very loud audio system and a mega-ginormous music collection.
