The DOPA bill, proposed in 2006 to the United States House of Representatives, would require schools and libraries to protect minors from online predators in absence of parental supervision by prohibiting access to chat rooms and social network sites. It's received a lot of criticism because many are arguing that the act is punishing potential victims by denying access to a range of legitimate sites which have educational value. What are your thoughts? Would you prefer to have this implemented in your schools? For more information, visit http://kiwicommons.com/2009/03/us-act-could-help-protect-youth/#more-331
